It’s just gone midnight and I’ve spent a good portion of the day working on this blog. The layout has evolved away from it’s Minima roots, in fact it’s had a complete rewrite of the stylesheet and html structure. The layout as you can see is still very similar to the older layout but has taken on some of the characteristics of the new logo.
So far the layout has passed all standards and accessibility testing. You can click the various footer links to see for yourself. The layout seems fine with IE 6.0 and Firefox 1.04, however a slight bug appears with Opera 8.01, hopefully I can solve the problem and fix it soon.
The contact page has now be altered to follow the hCard microformat as I very much support these growing standards which make everybody’s life easier. I’ve also added an about me page and a portfolio page, the later of which I’ve been trying to get around to for at least a year now.
I’m hoping to write some articles soon to post here based on web standards and general web development. UoA Students look out in Craccum (or Alec’s mag if they’re still split?) on Monday for my article on the Geek Weekly page.
Edit: hCard now has a bit more info, a lovely picture of myself and should be more streamlined with vCard generation. I’ve also changed the copyright notice to a Creative Commons notice.
